Positvity Post

I haven’t done one in a while and things got a little sad on my blog so let’s pick it up.

Reblog with your OC and I’ll tell them why I love them.

Was there ever a point in Sidni’s life where she lost all hope for a future? Also, what is it in the world that gives her the most hope?

TW: Abuse & suicide. Please proceed with caution!!

When she was 17, Sidni was being punished by her father. Something snapped and she pulled her blade on him. He stepped back, smiled, and pulled his own blade. He let her attack, and she was determined she was going to end it there. She even landed a few hits, but only because he let her. When he had had enough, he attacked in a way that she had never seen before. It was extremely calculated in how he struck and wounded her, to the point that he very literally tore her apart and left her clinging to life. In his mind, it was better to have her out of commission for a while and lesson learned, than a servant who would dare to draw a weapon on her master.

It’s the one time Sidni had felt death so near and thought, “Just let go.” She thought of being free of the fear and pain and hopefully seeing her mother again.

Then she thought of her father, of everything he had done and planned to do, and refused to let him get the best of her. She refused to let her life end at his hand. And that’s how she’s lived ever since.

The one thing that gives her the most hope is the family she finds in the Inquisition. They turn her spiteful and bloodthirsty motivation to survive into something more meaningful. They let her experience the world differently, let her learn to be (for lack of a better world) human, and teach her to live. And it’s that possibility and faith that give her hope for a better life and the ability to hope for a future.
