Headcanon Time

I have this headcanon that magic just doesn’t work on dwarves as well as anyone else. Attacks, healing, etc. I mean, dwarves automatically have magical resistance in their starting stats.

Now, elemental stuff is of course going to affect them. Fire is fire and ice is ice. But anything inherently magical just doesn’t stick very well to them. Maybe a little bit, but not to full effect.

What do you guys think? Am I crazy?

Honestly Sidni and Dorian being bros and bonding over shitty family gives me life (because that’s how most of my friends and I became friends)

Aaaaah thank you!! Honestly, same! They’re both just, “Hey, you had shitty family, I had shitty family, we are now each others’ family.” They became one of my favorite relationships when I wasn’t looking.

(And when Sidni gets together with Cullen, Dorian is like “well, he had good family, but a shitty life so I guess we’ll keep him.”)

In the spirit of TMI Tuesday, if you want a tiny little drabble, send me a prompt for Sidni and whoever you want!

Does Sidni have any genuinely just…. happy memories? Like the kind that make you feel warm and safe on the inside

Honestly, all of Sidni’s happy memories have been tainted by her father. He punished her for any spark of joy and taught her that happiness means bad things. I hate him.

There was a time when Sidni’s father hid her mother away in Dust Town to get rid of her soft and kind influence on Sidni. He thought Sidni would never think to look there. Well…much to his anger, Sidni found her mother and stayed there with her for a long time while trying to hatch escape plans. Those are probably her happiest memories of just being with her mother in simple times. Away from her father. (And being a little shit and sneaking into Orzammar. Because she could.) Of course, once he found Sidni, things went south quickly.

Does Sidni ever have second thoughts about the judgements she makes?

The short answer is yes. In the beginning she goes with her gut. But her time with her friends and the Inquisition slowly teaches her that her gut has been trained to what her father wants and not what she actually wants or thinks. So she starts to question if her judgments are too harsh or not correct. It’s something she starts discussing with Cullen before they even start on the path to lovers because she values his insight.
