reasons why Halloween is the best holiday:

  • you are not obligated to visit your relatives
  • you are not obligated to get gifts for anybody
  • people will give you candy for absolutely no reason other than it’s Halloween
  • it’s the only day of the year when it’s socially acceptable to go out in public dressed as a penguin

… I’ve only just realised why ghosts wear sheets.

It’s because dead people were covered in white shrouds, and the ghost was the dead person come back to life and walking around with the shroud still over their head.

Like… I was aware of the existence of funeral shrouds.

Why has it taken me twenty-five years to realise that that’s where the ghost sheet comes from.

Why am I so dim.
